Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and Volta, the studio that publishes the apps listed on this site. They apply to every one of those apps. Where an app has its own additional terms, they are shown inside that app, and they win where the two disagree.
Volta is a one-person studio based in France. Write to hello@studiovolta.space.
What you may do with the app
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute it, and you may not attempt to extract its source code except where the law explicitly allows it.
The app, its name and its design remain ours. Anything you create with it — your measurements, your photographs, your notes — remains yours.
Subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription or a one-time purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency, and Apple takes the payment. We never see your card.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage and cancel a subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel anything.
- A one-time purchase does not renew and does not expire.
Free trials
Where a free trial is offered, it converts into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. Apple allows one trial per subscription group per Apple Account: if you have already used it, the app will show you the price instead of the trial.
Refunds
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue a refund ourselves, but tell us what went wrong and we will try to fix it for you and for the next person.
What these apps are not
They are instruments, and every instrument has a tolerance.
Sizes converts between sizing systems and estimates measurements from photographs. Brands round to their own house conventions, a self-measured body is not a tailor's, and a photograph is not a tape measure. Treat every figure as an informed estimate, not a guarantee of fit. We are not responsible for a purchase that did not fit, or for the cost of returning it.
Nothing in any Volta app is medical, legal or financial advice.
Acceptable use
Do not use the apps to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, or to attack the services they rely on. Do not photograph people who have not agreed to be photographed.
Availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue an app or any of its features. Where a change removes something you are paying for, you may cancel and, through Apple, ask for a refund of the unused part of your term.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
The apps are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the same extent, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
None of this limits anything that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything written here.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the apps. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Governing law
French law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
Changes to these terms
We will update this page when the terms change, and the date at the top will change with it. Continuing to use an app after a change means you accept it.
